How to increase sales on E commerce platforms Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, Shopify

Time has gone, when big marketing companies were doing their multi million dollars business through physical outlets, traditional marketing platforms. Now is the era of ecommerce. Yes, ecommerce where buyers and sellers buy and sell goods and services through virtual platforms, or in other words we can say, they sell and buy on digital market places. The renowned market places are AMZON, EBAY. ETSY, ALI BABA, ALI express etc.

But again question is that, these ,market places are full of competition, thousands of sellers are selling same or related products and services, then how one can get success on these digital platforms. Yes, your objection is right but there is solution of every problem.

There are multiple factors that are responsible for the success of any seller of these market places.

  • Quality products
  • Quick delivery
  • Excellent customer support service
  • Reasonable price
  • Positive customer feedback
These are some main factors, which determine sellers success on any digital marketplace.

  • Quality products
Quality is foremost important factor in the success of any business. Best product or service is that, which can solve problems of the customer. So, here quality can refer to the solution for the customer.
  • Quick delivery
Every customer wants quick delivery of product at his/her doorstep. Fortunately, today's digital marketplaces solved this problem. Especially, AMAZON has it's robust business model, which is called FBA Fulfillment by amazon, in which AMAZON takes care of your products, it actually receives seller products in it's warehouses, it store, pick and pack and deliver to customer within a day even. It also handle product returns and deal customers feedback. So, how about other market places. Ecommerce marketplaces such EBAY, ETSY, ALI EXPRESS don't have such a quick delivery service but they have another good thing, that is low price than AMAZON.

According to supply chain rules, at one time only one thing can be achieved, either it's is efficiency means low prices or responsiveness means quick delivery.

  • Excellent customer support service
Customer support service is the key for returning customers and more conversion rates. Though it's difficult too. To keep your customer happy is the most hard job but it's very important for all businesses.
  • Reasonable price
Low prices always attract customers, but one must not compromise quality over low price. Successful products is always with good quality and reasonable prices. So keep your prices reasonable as compared to your competitors.
  • Positive customer feedback
Positive feedback is the most crucial factor for the rating of your profile on digital marketplaces. Customers always see reviews and comments on seller profile to buy new products. So, positive feedback is the main key for sales velocity and returning customers.

These are some most important factors to increase your sales on E-commerce platforms. There is nothing a magic tool to sky rocket your sales overnight but these factors are the tools to boost your product sales.

How to deal with negative feedback?

Might be one question is arising in your mind, how to deal unsatisfied customers, who leave negative feedbcak on your seller accounts. I can help you to remove negative feedbcak from your sellers accounts for EBAY, ETSY, REVERB etc in no time. I am a professional to handle customer services. Can tourism play any role in the economy of Pakistan?

TOURISM

Tourism is the activities of people travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for leisure, business or other purposes for not more than one consecutive year. Tourism industry is important for the benefits it brings and due to its role as a commercial activity that creates demand and growth for many more industries.

ROLE OF TOURISM IN PAKISTAN ECONOMY:

Pakistan is located in the hub of south Asian subcontinent. Given the geographic location of Pakistan it is heaven for tourist. Pakistan has been blessed by nature with some of the excellent and breath-taking visiting spots that are placed nearly all over the country. Especially, the northern areas and the Kashmir region are one of the most frequently in Pakistan include the Murree Hills, Bhurban, Ayubia, Patriata,Kaghan valley,Naran valley,Neelam valley and Swat valley. This past of the country is famous all around the world for its sky-high mountains, beautiful green valleys, mighty rivers, plentiful wildlife and beautiful lakes.

Now the question arises that can Tourism play any role in the economy of Pakistan? So if we see the previous condition of Pakistan’s economy about tourism, according to the Travel and Tourism competitive Report 2017 released by the World Economic Forum, the direct contribution of travel and tourism to Pakistan’s GDP in 2015 was US$328.3 million, making 2.8% of the total GDP. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) , the direct contribution of tourism to Pakistan’GDP in 2016 was US$7.6 billion, making 2.7% GDP. By 2025, the Government predicts tourism will contribute US$7.1 billion to the Pakistan’s economy.
The World Economic Forum’s Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report (TTCR) ranked Pakistan 125th out of 136 countries. Pakistan is on a lowest ranked to the tourism for its economy rate. Because our Government is not promoting the country for the tourism.
There are some issues in our Pakistan, which has some negative impact on our country’s economy about tourism.

TERRORISM

Every Human being wants to safe is life at first. Pakistan’s tourism is declining mainly caused by terrorism. According to the report Pakistan become 7th dangerous country in the world for travel due to terrorism and target killing. So that’s why the foreign country’s people are afraid to visit the Pakistan.

HIGH INFLATION RATE

Every person needs food place and vehicle and so on for survival in everywhere. Pakistan has high priced food, hotel a and transportation, which have made Pakistan a place that is beyond the reached and affordability of tourists due to high inflation rate, middle and poor class can’t afford.

BAD TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM

Pakistan is facing some problems of modern transportation include traffic safety], declining fuel reserves, environmental problems, and inadequate public transportation facilities. These problems are most severe in countries that depend heavily on automobile transportation.

THINGS WHICH CAN HELP TO PROMOTE TOURISM

As we know that tourism in Pakistan is a growing industry, and nowadays our country Pakistan is facing some critical issues which are affecting on the economy of Pakistan. According to the report and some studies about the tourism, economy of Pakistan can increase through tourism, and tourism also provide employment to people. If tourists visit historical places. We can share our norms, beliefs, customs values and so on. But to develop the country’s economy we need to work on some issues which is negatively influencing on Pakistan. So, here are some steps through which we promote tourism in country.

SECURITY

As we all know that terrorism and target killing is the biggest issue in our country, which create hurdles in the promotion of tourism, so the firstly government need to solve this issue, when people feel secure they definitely prefer to visit Pakistan, because security is the basic need of people to overall the world. So, we should give security to tourists.

GUIDANCE

When tourists come from foreign countries, they don’t have much knowledge of the country. They don’t know which place is where and where they want to go, we should make some information Centre for the tourists for guidance, where they gain guide for the visit where they want to go.

PUBLICITY

Through publicity we can show most beautiful sites of our country to the world, which can attract the tourists to visit our Pakistan’s lovely and beautiful scenery and places. We can promote it through famous newspapers and news channels. We can give online advertisement for publicity.

CLEAN ENVIRONMENT

Tourists may prefer clean surroundings when they stay and visit some special sites or areas that is clean. So, we should clean our environment to promote tourism for our country.

In the end, we can say that tourism not only generate huge revenue but also its helps to create an image among the nations worldwide. Recently our prime minister had said that we are going to promote tourism industry to develop our country’s economy. So, for the promotion of our country’s tourism government should have to take a strong step and have to give some basic facilities to travel agencies, by which beyond they can facilitates the tourists. So, we think that nowadays Pakistan have 2.7% billion GDP, by promoting tourism we can more and more increase the economy rate in upcoming years through tourism. So, the tourism can also play a important role in the economy of Pakistan.

How to reduce burden of migration from rural to Urban areas?

How to reduce burden of migration from rural to Urban areas?

Migration from rural to urban cites is sometimes beneficial and in the other hand is burden on cites , in past some of the countries recognize that the economic development of cities is from migration of people’s from villages to cities, in economics they shift labor force from less productive work as agricultural work to more productive factories in cities that’s why this activity plays an important role in growth of economy in cities as we also give an example of china that shows China’s growth as a miracle of migration of rural to urban.
The worker’s from rural are hard workers so that’s why productivity output increases and economy growth accelerate and that is an advantage of migration.

There are also two factors who attract people’s to migrate one is
    1)      Push Factors : Reasons why people  leave rural places,
Ø  Not enough jobs
Ø  Lack of food
Ø  Difficult conditions
Ø  Lack of clean water
Ø  Poor education
Ø  Poor electricity and technology
Ø  Poor sewerage
Ø  Limited or no health care
    2)      Pull Factors : Reasons people move to urban places,
Ø  More work opportunities
Ø  Access to shops
Ø  Better housing
Ø  Better education
Ø  More health care
Ø  Safer
Ø  Clean water
Ø  More technology

Solutions :

The cities should use the cardinal rule, where their growth is planned, rather than letting them grow on their own. As the local government plans for the city, it should make sure that there is adequate infrastructure to support the growing population and residential areas should be located near civic bodies to improve service provision.
To reduce rural-urban migration, job opportunities can be created in rural areas. This will reduce stress exerted on cities by the increasing number of people. Restricting people to move to cities cannot be used to solve problems associated with urbanization. This is because each citizen has a right to move and settle anywhere as long as he or she is not infringing on other people’s rights.
The major causes of rural-urban migration is identified as; search for better wages, education, political and social stability, better technologies, employment and business opportunities.
1. Equality between residents in rural and urban areas,
2. Empowering rural women in all sectors like agricultural, light industry and etc,
3. Sustaining the necessary sources like food and technology, agricultural,
4. Rehabilitating the infrastructure in rural areas,
5. Providing all the necessary facilities and utilities in their rural areas,
6. Reducing deforestation
7. Providing as many job opportunities as possible in the rural areas e.g. light industry approach (car manufacturing, shoes factories) would be a good opportunity to stop migration from rural to urban areas.

These are some of many ways to stop the migration from rural to big cities.

Rural women empowerment through online business-A case study of Sindhi hand made dresses and handicrafts.

Rural women empowerment through online business-A case study of Sindhi hand made dresses and handicrafts.

Women empowerment:
Women empowerment process by which women gain power and control over their own lives and acquire the ability to make strategic choices is called women empowerment.

Rural women empowerment:

Education is the most important factor for the development of rural areas. Education takes us away from over population and also tell us how to fight with poverty, darkness and tradition backwardness. To improve the progress of society women in Pakistan playing an important role through their participation as social as well as economic activities directly or indirectly.
Rural women in Pakistan face many difficulties in every expect of life due to illiteracy. When women become empower, they contribute to their family income and become more energetic leader in their whole communities. In other words, we can say that if you built a woman, you built a community. Investment in the women is the smart investment, when she is empowered her generation and her family is empowered. Rural women are looking for different activities to be empower like hand made things such as embroidery dresses, handmade bags etc.
Women empowerment has following components:

  • Women have rights to do anything by their own choices.
  •     They have right to control their own lives both with in and out of their world.
  •     They have ability to make changes in social and economic societies.

How to empower women:

  • Following are the ways to empower women
  • Providing education.
  • Encouraging women to develop in their fields they are good at and make a career.
  • Providing minimum need like food, medical facilities and good houses.

Why need of women empowerment:

The main problem that were faced by women in past and still today these problems are continued.

  • Gender inequality
  • Women education
  • Dowry
  • Marriage in same cast and child marriage (still existing)

Women Literacy Rate:

In 2009 to 10 the literacy rate in Pakistan marginally increased to 57.7 per cent due to an increase in the literacy ratio of females in rural areas. During the preceding year the literacy rate was 57.4 per cent. The male literacy rate stood at 69.5 per cent while it was 45.2 per cent for females. According to the official definition, the literacy rate is that percentage of the population ten years and above which is able to read and write in any language. Though more than half of the rural population is illiterate, the ratio improved by over half a percentage point to 49.2 per cent by June 30, 2010 due to an increasing number of women and girls who can read and write. The female literacy ratio improved to 34.2 per cent, a progress of 0.8 per cent in a year. In rural areas, the 63.6 per cent male literacy rate improved by only 0.4 per cent in comparison. The literacy rate in urban areas marginally declined due to a dip in the number of men who qualify as literate. The urban literacy ratio decreased 0.1 per cent to 73.2 per cent, due to a fractional reduction in the male literacy rate. At present more than eight out of ten urban males are educated but the ratio is below that of 2008-09. The provincial literacy rates also depict interesting trends. In Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the number of educated people increased, while it decreased in Sindh. The figure remained stagnant in Baluchistan at 51.5 per cent. Punjab turned out to be the most educated province, followed by Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber -Pakhtunkhwa. In Sindh the percentage of educated people dropped by one per cent to 58.2 per cent in 2009-10. The declining ratios were witnessed across the divide, rural, urban, females and males. Contrary to that in Punjab the literacy rate increased to 59.6 per cent. Over half of the rural population is literate and the urban literacy ratio stood at almost three-fourth in the province. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa the literacy rate increased to 50.9 per cent, a progress of almost one per cent. The rural literacy rate increased to 48.4 per cent but the urban literacy dipped by 0.4 per cent. The urban literacy rate increased while the rural literacy rate declined. In terms of level of education, near four out of ten literate people are not even matriculates. Another one out of ten is below intermediate, the survey reveals. Only 4.7 per cent of the total literate population has cleared intermediate but not bachelor’s and just 4.3 per cent have a bachelor’s or above. Even today over four out of ten Pakistanis are illiterate according to official figures.

Barriers to Girls’ Education:

Within the School System Many of the barriers to girls’ education are within the school system itself. The Pakistan government simply has not established an education system adequate to meet the needs of the country’s children, especially girls. While handing off responsibility to private school operators and religious schools might seem like a solution, nothing can absolve the state of its obligation, under international and domestic law, to ensure that all children receive a decent education something that simply is not happening in Pakistan now. Moreover, despite all the barriers, many people interviewed for this report described a growing demand for girls’ education, including in marginalized communities. Barriers to Girls’ Education outside the School System Aside from the barriers to education within the school system, girls also face barriers in their homes and in the community. These include poverty, child labor, gender discrimination and harmful social norms, and insecurity and dangers on the way to school.

How we can empower the handmade works of rural women of Sindh Pakistan:

There are many women in all over the world who are working in the rural areas of their country, they made clothes, handkerchief, embroidery  , doing stitching with their  hand and that embroidery and stitching are more attracting over the machine made goods .
So the thing is that how we can support that rural women of Sindh , we can help them to via modern technology we post their woks in social media “ twitter , Facebook , Instagram and so many other websites “ or in other way we  can give them training  to learn how they use that websites  and computer and android apps , this is very helpful for them in this time period “ The period of technology “ .
Many companies are working in this idea but they not giving the actual amount of their work , they are getting benefits to themselves , So in our point of view we can establish non for profit training institutes to encourage that women’s and appreciate their work and made them an  Entrepreneur and make them independent.
The second option to empower their work is if they learn how to use apps and computer system and they sign in social media app but as we all know that it’s very hard thing to get popular the newly made pages and websites, so we take their embroidery’s photos and post that photos on already famous page and websites in worldwide so help them to selling their goods through online and get share in their profit and also in lose, this is a good idea in our point of view.

A case study of handicrafts of Sindhi women:

A city of Sindh named halla near the Hyderabad city is very famous for the handmade dresses of Sindhi culture included Sindhi women dresses , ajrak , men’s cultural Sindhi  topi and many other goods of women like shoes shawls , are available in every bus stops and petrol pumps with high prizes , the quality of goods are also best .  Shopkeepers collect the goods from rural areas of Sindh like thar, halla, umerkot, and sukkur and also many other and cities.
Umerkot and Halla are two cities which are very famous for Sindhi cultural dresses and handicrafts.

Causes of textile industry downfall in Pakistan

Causes of textile industry downfall in Pakistan

Introduction: Textile is a Latin word that comes from the word “Texture” which means to “ weave”.Textile industry was started in 1950 our country. Textile industry is the backbone of Pakistan economy.
Textile industry is the largest manufacturing industry in Pakistan is the 8th largest exporter of textile in developed countries.
Pakistan is the 4th largest producer of cotton. Karachi is famous city for textile industry in Pakistan.
Textile industry is that converting the raw material into finished good and it includes textile developing, producing, manufacturing and distributing.
Causes of Textile Industry Downfall In Pakistan:
The textile industry of Pakistan in last two years facing many problems like high energy cost, shortage of electricity, high oil prices, high transportation cost, low material etc.
The main causes of textile industry downfall is noncompetitive international market. These are the following reasons for downfall of textile industry.
  1. Lack of research and development:
Most developed countries are using biotechnology to increase the production. They use research and innovations to achieve a goal, but Pakistan textile industries have no innovation. Most developed countries produce high quality of cotton for efficient work, but Pakistan have low quality of cotton because they have no innovations.

2.                  Lack of efficient machinery:
Most developed countries using efficient machinery to produce valuable goods and Pakistan have not efficient machinery to perform the task. So this is the reason to downfall of textile industry.

3.                  Low labour productivity:
Many Asian countries have skilled labour to perform the task, But I n the Pakistan have not skilled labour to perform the task. In 1776 the book “Wealth of nation” Adam Smith gave the concept of division of labour is that breaking down the job into narrow repetitive task.

Using the pin industry as an example: Adam Smith claimed that 10 individuals, each doing a specialized task could produce about 48,000 pins a day among them. However, if each person worked alone performing each task separately and even, he produces 10 pins a day. Due to the skilled labour we can increase our productivity and lower the wastage of time.
4.                  Increasing cost of production:
Production cost of textile industry is increased due to the high interest rate, taxes and decreasing the value of Pakistani rupee. The value of Pakistani rupee is continuously decreasing because of increase in the cost of electricity the prices of production is increased. So this is the most difficult challenge for Pakistan textile industry to survive and compete the developed countries.
5.                  Raw material prices:
